Commenting on his retirement, Yo Mahesh said: ‘I would like to thank the BCCI who initially gave me the opportunity to be under 19 and at the India-A level. The past five years have been full of injuries, but I am grateful to India Cements who have remained my back. I would also like to thank my State Cricket Tamil Nadu Cricket Association, who nurtured me since I was 14 and have stayed with me for 12 years of first class career.
