TMC says Mithun Chakraborty joins BJP – not today’s star, party has changed four times

The Trinamool Congress (TMC) has targeted BJP’s Mithun Chakraborty ahead of the West Bengal assembly elections. Speaking to TMC MP Saugata Roy, Mithun Chakraborty has no credibility, he has switched parties four times. Assembly elections in Bengal will be held in eight phases starting March 27. The results for all states will be announced on May 2.

TMC MP Saugata Roy said, “Mithun Chakraborty is not a star today. He is a star of previous years. He has held parties four times. Originally he was Naxalite, then went to CPM and later joined TMC where he was made a Rajya Sabha MP. Trinamool Congress MPs threatened BJP by ED. He has resigned from the Rajya Sabha and now joins the BJP, saying he has no credibility, no expectations or no influence on the people.

BJP national general secretary Kailash Vijayawargiya and state BJP president Dilip Ghosh and others welcomed Mithun Chakraborty. Ghosh handed the party flag to the emperor.
