How to update Aadhaar card address (without proof)
1. First of all, you need to apply for an address assessment letter. For this, go to https://resident.uidai.gov.in and select “Request Aadhaar Validation Letter” given in Aadhaar Update section.
2. This opens the Self Service Update Port (SSUP).
3. Now you need to login with your 12 digit Aadhaar number. Then submit and submit the Aadhaar number of the verifier.
4. Now to approve the checker, the link will be received via SMS on their registered mobile number. By clicking on this link, they get another SMS, which includes OTP.
5. The checker must verify by adding OTP and captcha. After this you will get the Service Request Number (SRN) through SMS.

6. Now you need to login via SRN and verify the address once. When the address is correct, click Submit.
7. You will receive a letter after submission. In addition, the ‘secret code’ will be sent by post to the checker with the ‘address assessment letter’.
8. After this, go back to the UIDAI website and click on ‘Update to update address’.
9. Login with your Aadhaar card and select the option to update the address through the Secret Code.
10. After entering the ‘Secret Code’, check the new address and click Submit. Now notice the ‘Update Request Number’ (URN) on the screen.
