UPSC Civil Services Examination 2020: IPS Officials Recruitment Rise From 150 to 200

UPSC Civil Services Exam 2020: The number of recruitment of Indian Police Service Officers has been increased from 150 to 200 by the Civil Services Examination 2020, the government said on Wednesday. State staff minister Jitendra Singh gave this information in a written reply to a question in the Lok Sabha on Wednesday. “From the 2012 examination of the Civil Service, 180 administrators are being inducted into the Indian Administrative Service,” he said.

Singh said the number of recruitment of Indian police service officers has been increased from 150 to 200 by the Civil Service Examination of 2020.

He said, ‘As of January 1, 2020, the total capacity of IPS officers in the country is 4,982. Currently, IPS has 908 posts.

“Filling vacancies is a continuous process,” Singh said. The central government’s attempt is to fill vacancies as soon as possible.

Every year the UPSC Civil Services Examination is conducted in three phases – Preliminary, Main Examination and Interview. It will be selected for other services including Indian Administrative Service (IAS), Indian Police Service (IPS) and Indian Foreign Service (IFS).
