Uttarakhand: Glacier breaks in Chamoli, power project dam breaks, fears of massive destruction, warned

A portion of the ish Shiganga River power project in the Chamoli district of Uttarakhand has broken down. This has increased the flow in the Alakananda River. The sheriff and police team rushed to the spot on information. A warning has been issued in the plains, including ish Shikesh, Haridwar.

Dam flow has unexpectedly increased the flow of the Alakananda River. No loss of life or property was reported, but the administration is on alert. Explain that the private company has a power project on the Ish Shiganga River, along a policy route that goes beyond Joshimath, which generates about 24 MW.

It is said that a part of the glacier has fallen off the hill and fell on the dam. This has caused damage to a portion of the dam, causing the water of the dam to go to the Alakananda river. The Central Water Commission has warned in all its posts that the flow of the Alakananda river has increased. The arrival of this water at Ish Shiksha and Haridwar is estimated at 6 to 7 hours.
