Maharashtra ATAS said that Mumbai Police had received a secret information that an accused involved in the Kanpur encounter case was hiding in Thane. The ATS Juhu unit raided Kolshet Road and arrested the accused Arvind alias ‘Guddan Ramvilas Trivedi’ and his driver Sonu Tiwari. Initial investigations revealed that Guddan was involved in several criminal cases with Vikas Dubey.

It is being told that after ambushing eight policemen in Kanpur on the night of July 2, Guddan left his phone at a shop near the village and went to Datia in Madhya Pradesh with his driver. From here Guddan reached Thane via trucks, finally via Nashik and Pune there. Here Gudan stayed at a friend’s house in the village and kept watching the news to take stock of the situation and police actions after the Kanpur encounter.

Let us tell you that Guddan was in panic there. The family wanted Gudden to leave the house, but could not say because of his fear. When the family came to know that the police were arresting those who had given asylum to the accused in the Kanpur case, then the family members who had given shelter to Gudan were also panicked. Let us tell that Vikas Dubey, the accused of five lakhs who murdered eight policemen, including Bilhaur CO in Kanpur, indiscriminately firing in his village Bikaru eight days ago was killed by the police and STF team on the eighth day.

The history-sheeter was arrested from the Mahakaleshwar temple complex in Ujjain, Madhya Pradesh on Thursday. From there, Vikas Dubey had an encounter near Sachendi before Kanpur city while appearing for court. The Central Government’s Enforcement Directorate along with Uttar Pradesh STF has started an investigation into its black business.
