Virat Kohli reigns in latest ODI rankings, Jasprit Bumrah slips to fourth

India’s skipper Virat Kohli tops the ICC ODI batting chart released on Wednesday, while fast bowler Jaspreet Bumrah has slipped one spot to number four. In the first and second ODIs against England, Kohli has scored 56 and 66 runs and taken his total to 870. Bumrah did not play in the limited-overs series against England, which topped the list of bowlers with 690 points.

In the rankings, India’s limited overs cricket deputy Rohit Sharma is third, while Pakistan’s Babar Azam lags behind, while Lokesh Rahul is up from 27th to 31st. All-rounder Hardik Pandya managed to score his career-best 42 in batsmen with an innings of 35 and 64 and Rishabh Pant entered the top 100. Fast bowler Bhuvneshwar Kumar took three wickets for 42 runs in the final, giving him a nine-point advantage to take him to 11th place, which was a good ranking from his 10th position in September 2017.

Fast bowler Shardul Thakur took four wickets for 67 runs in a single match, which moved him from 93 to 80. England all-rounder Ben Stokes rose four places to 24th. In the second ODI, he scored 99 out of 52 balls and was second on the all-rounder list while Johnny Bierstowe finished seventh with a career-best 796 points. Moin Ali is ranked at number nine on the bowling chart with nine places.

In T20 International’s latest batting list, both Rahul and Kohli have lost one place and both have fallen to fifth and sixth, respectively. There are no Indian bowlers and all-rounders in the top 10 list. In the Test rankings, spinner Ravichandran Ashwin retains second place behind Australia’s Pat Cummins. Ravindra Jadeja is third and All-rounder Ashwin is fourth.
