India’s bowlers dominated the first day of the first Test match between India and England. Indian fast bowling did not allow England batsmen to take control of the field and took wickets in the regular season. India bowled England to a modest score of 183 due to the sharp bowling of the bowlers. Former India batsman VVS Laxman is very pleased with the performance of the bowlers. He said the Indian bowler corrected the mistakes of the World Test Championship final.
Speaking to ESPN’s Cricinfo, Laxman said, “It was a good effort from India since Bumrah’s first over. Mistakes made in the final of the World Test Championships, I think they have corrected that, and the only way to do that is to go to the Nets, train and work in areas of concern. He further said, ‘Bumrah and Shami bowled with the right length because it is important to be effective in English conditions. To win the Test series, the team has to have two or three bowlers on top form and it was amazing that we saw the first day from Bumrah and Shami.
Bumrah did not take a single wicket in the final of the World Test Championship. But on the first day of the first Test against England, Bumrah took four wickets, apart from Shami, who also damaged the ball. He sent three English batsmen to the pavilion. India were all out for 183 runs. At the end of the first day, India were 21 for no loss.
