WhatsApp user attention! In this way, hackers delete sitting accounts, read these reports

Nowadays, the use of WhatsApp is an important part of every smartphone user’s life. Hackers have been watching this popular instant messaging app for a long time. Now a new case has emerged that hackers are wiping out your WhatsApp account. For this, the mobile number of the user is being used.

In fact, this flaw in WhatsApp was a long time ago and is now being exploited by hackers. According to media reports, a hacker can hack your account in any corner of the world and delete it permanently. Not only that, if you want to restore the account, it will prevent you. Even if you have two components enabled on your account (2 FA).

Security researcher Luis Marquez Carpentho and Ernesto Canales Parena discovered this flaw in WhatsApp. According to a report first published on Forbes, researchers found that hackers could easily hack this instant messaging app due to two fundamental weaknesses. Hackers can take advantage of these flaws and delete anyone’s account.

According to reports, the first weakness is that the hacker tries to log into your phone’s WhatsApp with your mobile number. However, due to security, the app does not allow you to do so unless the hacker accesses the 6-digit registration code on your mobile. But the hacker repeatedly enters the wrong code, after which for the next 12 hours the WhatsApp blocks the WhatsApp on the hacker’s phone.

WhatsApp Account Hack

However, when a hacker is unable to repeat the sign-in process with your phone number, they will try to contact WhatsApp for the process of deleting (disabling) your phone number from the app. For this, the hacker needs a new email id to indicate that your mobile phone has been stolen. In response to that email, WhatsApp confirms this and the hacker responds immediately.

After this process your WhatsApp account will be deactivated. This means that you will no longer be able to use this instant messaging app from your phone. Not only that, you will not be able to avoid deactivation from your WhatsApp account using two-factor authentication 2 FA because the account has already been deactivated by an email sent by a hacker.

Generally, in the case of account deactivation, WhatsApp users can activate their WhatsApp account by verifying their phone number. This is not possible if the hacker blocks the verification process for 12 hours after several failed attempts to sign into the WhatsApp account. It is clear that users cannot get the registration code for the next 12 hours.

What WhatsApp Says:

In this case, a WhatsApp spokesperson told the media that users can avoid this problem by entering their email address into their account through a three-step verification. For this, the user must link the email id to their account. This three-step verification system helps WhatsApp’s customer service team deal with such cases.

However, in this case, WhatsApp has not yet shared any information about whether it is taking any concrete steps to protect the user’s account from hackers. Now that the issue has been in the public sector and most people are aware of it, it would be a mistake to say that you have to keep your WhatsApp account even secure.
