WTC Final 2021: Team India launches match practice in Southampton, BCCI photo shared

Everyone is eagerly waiting for the final of the World Test Championships. Former world cricket eyes on the final match between India and New Zealand. New Zealand are currently playing a two-Test series against England to strengthen its preparations. At the same time, the Indian team made the practice of the match for the first time since Quarantine relaxed on Friday at Southampton grounds. BCCI has shared pictures of Team India’s Intra Squad match on its Twitter account.

The BCCI shared the photo on its Twitter and wrote: ‘Great setting for an intra squad match in Southampton’. The Indian team arrived in England on June 3, after which the team was asked to stay in strict contact for three days. The WTC final will be played between India and New Zealand in Southampton from June 18 to 22. If many former experienced players are to be believed, the Kiwi side could take advantage of the two-match Test series against England.

India need to play a five-match Test series against England after the World Test Championship final. The five-match Test series begins on August 4 and ends on September 14. Earlier, India had beaten England 3-1 in their home Test series and reached the final of the WTC. At the same time, after the cancellation of the Test series between South Africa and Australia, New Zealand entered the final.
