Yuvraj Singh may return to competitive cricket, playing for the club in Australia

Former all-rounder Yuvraj Singh, popularly known as Team India’s Sixer King, is set to return to competitive cricket. If reports are to be believed, Yuvraj may return to competitive cricket in Australia later this year. According to PTI reports, Mulgrave Cricket Club has claimed that the names of legends like Yuvraj Singh and Chris Gayle are on the board. Apart from Yuvraj and Gayle, star players AB De Villiers and Brian Lara can also play in the league.

Tillakaratne Dilshan and Upul Thanga are already involved, the club said. Gayle is currently the only cricketer to be active in international cricket.

Mulgrave Cricket Club president Milan Pulenayagam said, “We have confidence in Dilshan and Sanath. We have confidence in Tharanga. And now we’re working on finalizing signatures with some other potential players. We are in talks with Chris (Gail) and Yuvraj. We had about 85 to 90 percent deal. We need to finalize a few things but it looks really good.

Yuvraj ended his career in 2019. He has played many tournaments since then. He has also played in the Global T20 Canada and later the T10 League. There have been rumors that Yuvraj will play in the Big Bash League, but unfortunately he is unable to sign himself with the league as fitness deteriorates. In 2021, Yuvraj was part of the Indian Legends team led by legendary batsman Sachin Tendulkar. Sachin has emerged as the team champion in the road safety series.
