Bangalore: Coronavirus continues to rise in the state, with a record 9,886 positives confirmed today, bringing the total number of infected people to 6,30,516.
More than 100 people have been killed by the coronavirus in the state in the last 24 hours. The number of deaths due to infection has risen to 9,219, the health and family welfare department said.
Today, the highest number of new cases (3,925 cases) has been reported in a single city in Bangalore, with the number of infected people in Silicon City rising to 2,45,700.
Today 8,989 people have been discharged from the hospital and the number of those who have been cured has risen to 5,08,495. A total of 1,12,783 people are receiving treatment at prescribed Kovid hospitals.
3,925 infections were detected in Bangalore city, Bidar 14, Chamarajanagar 179, Chikkaballapur 234, Chikkamagalur 175, Chitradurga 76, Dakshina Kannada 255, Davangere 129, Dharwad 98, Gadag 32, Hassan 460, Haveri 71, Kalaburagi 107, Kodagu 37, Kolappara 20, 98, Mandya 206, Mysore 1514, Raichur 199, Ramanagara 58, Shimoga 337, Tumkur 302, Udupi 158, Uttar Kannada 92, Vijayapura 97 and Yadagiri 128 have been found.
