Bangalore: In a special operation conducted on October 4 to 10, traffic police have registered a total of 97,213 cases and a fine of Rs 4.02 crore.

A total of Rs 4,02,62,800 was collected from the last 4 to 10, of which nearly a quarter of the money was collected from a bike ride without a helmet, said Ravikanthegowda, joint police officer of the Traffic Division.

Of these, 10,538 case signal jumps (38.43 lakh fines), 30712 cases of helmetless driving, 1.14 crore fines, 19,403 cases without helmet and 19,403 cases were fined 72 lakh.

A total of 4,154 cases were registered for driving in No Entry, 15.77 lakh cases, 5,364 Cases without Seat Belt, 25 Lakh Cases
