Each of the 24 districts of Jharkhand will have about 250 factories for selected products. It will be based on agricultural or fruit products found in abundance in those districts. A five-year action plan has been chalked out to establish 7564 such units in the state. The Department of Industry has sent its proposal to the Central Government. It aims to generate large scale employment at the local level.
The Department of Industries has planned to give national identity to every district under the name of special industry under the Prime Minister’s Vocal for Local Campaign. For this, products have been selected in every district. Under this, a group of industries based on Guava in Ranchi, Tomato in Jamshedpur and Potato in Dhanbad will be established. Similar products have also been selected for other districts. Every year 50 units will be set up in each district. The entire network will be established for those industries ranging from raw material processing to packaging and marketing.
Government will set up facilitation center in districts: The government will set up facilitation centers in every district for industries. Common plants will be set up for those industries there. Where the operators of the factories will be able to get their work done. This will not require the operator of the factory to install common machines related to packaging or processing technology separately. The center will be operated jointly by the entrepreneurs group and government departments of those industry groups. Each industry will be subsidized up to 30 percent of the investment. Both the Central and State Government will have a stake in this The maximum subsidy up to Rs 10 lakh will be available to entrepreneurs.
