Lucknow: Congress leader Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi have been detained by police at the Uttar Pradesh border after they met with family members of the victims in connection with the Hathras rape case.
Rahul Gandhi was on his way as the police intervened to visit Hathras. In the wake of the frenzied atmosphere, the police seized Congress leaders including Rahul Gandhi.
Responding to this, Rahul Gandhi alleged that the police pushed themselves and charged them with lathi. It is not right in the country for the common man to walk down the street. Only the RSS, VHP leaders and Modi questioned whether Modi should go on the road. Priyanka Gandhi, however, alleged that women were not protected in Uttar Pradesh. Congress leaders have expressed outrage over Rahul Gandhi and policemen who have taken over Congress leaders.
In times of sorrow, loved ones are not left alone.
It is Jungleraj’s wish in UP that meeting a family in mourning also scares the government.
Do not be afraid so much, Chief Minister!
