The Supreme Court has made key remarks on the JEE, NEET exams. JEE ruled that NEET examinations could not be postponed. JEE said the NEET exams would take place in the pre-determined month of September. The apex court on Monday heard a petition seeking adjournment of JEE and NEET examinations in the wake of the corona situation.
The most important JEE, with corona fears, refused to postpone the NEET exams. Students will be disadvantaged by postponing exams. She commented that students will miss the academic year for a year, which will have an impact on their future.
A three-judge bench headed by Justice Arun Mishra heard the petition filed by 11 students seeking adjournment of the examinations. Kovid must take precautions and move forward. Circumstances may not change for another year. If tests are postponed now for fear of a virus, a similar situation could be expected next year. Will it be adjourned even then? ”The tribunal commented.
Alok Srivastava, counsel for the students’ petition, argued. Neat and JEE have also been asked to postpone the CBSE and ICSE exams. They themselves did not ask for an indefinite postponement. Solicitor General Tushar Mehta argued on behalf of the National Testing Agency (NTA). All precautions will be taken during the administration of the examinations.
JEE Mains has already made plans to hold NEET nationwide on September 13th from September 1st to 6th. The NEET and JEE examinations will be held on these dates.
