Berta is best known as a housekeeper after a long career as a character actor on stage, and died as a character actor in films including Mystic Pizza and Network. She was 77 years old.
According to campaigner Cynthia Snyder, Farrell died Monday at Sherman Oaks Hospital in Los Angeles.
Konhata worked in the military for more than a decade in Farrell Two and One Half Men, playing alongside Charlie Sheen and John Crimmer, until Sheen was fired from the sitcom for disorderly conduct, including publicly abusive producer Chuck Lore.
Launched in 2003 on CBS, the series continued on the network until 2015 with new star Ashton Kutcher. Farrell was on board for the entire race.
John Cryer remembered him “for the joy he brought to many.”
“Berta was the invention of a fierce outsider. Chetti’s warmth and vulnerability are his real strength, ”he posted on Twitter.
In a tweet, Charlie Sheen described Conchetta Farrell as “a complete darling, a full supporter, a true friend” and said the loss was painful.
Charleston Farrell, a native of West Virginia and a graduate of Marshall University, received recognition and numerous theater awards for his role in The Sea Horse in 1974. His work on Lanford Wilson’s Hot LA Baltimore has played a major role in the Norman Lear sitcom of the same name.
She also received a nomination for Emmy supporting actress Amy for Two and a Half Men and mentioned Susan Bloom’s role in LA law.
Konchetta Farrell’s other credits include films from Heartland, True Romance and Erin Brockovich, but her TV shows have appeared in other series, including Good Times, ER, Grace and Frankie, and Buffy the Vampire Slayer.
She is survived by her husband Arnie Anderson and daughter Samantha.
