All Haryana MLAs support farmers and resign, otherwise they will not be allowed to enter villages: Anup Singh Chanouth

For the 52nd consecutive day at the Delhi border, farmers’ uproar over new agricultural laws continues. Meanwhile, Haryana’s farmer leader Anoop Singh Chanaut has said that farmers have been instrumental in the victory of all the state legislators and all should resign from their posts in support of the peasant movement.

“In the bitter cold of the Delhi border, it will take about two months for the farmers who are fighting the battle between life and death,” a statement issued in Chanaut Hisar said. If the legislators do not support the farmers in this movement they will not be allowed to enter the villages. Chanouth warned that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and Janata Janata Party (JJP) lawmakers would not allow any of their legislators to hold a Kisan reservoir. He said farmers should win in the fight against central agricultural laws.

It is worth noting that the ninth round of talks between farmer organizations and the central government on Friday’s new agricultural laws at Delhi’s Science Hall is yet again indefinite. A 10th round meeting will be held on January 19 to find a solution to this problem. At the meeting, the farmer leaders did not hesitate to demand the repeal of these three laws and enact laws on the MSP. Farmers are adamant about their demands even after the Supreme Court has been constituted.

It is noted that the central government is introducing three new agricultural laws passed in September as major reforms in agriculture, but protesting farmers are worried that the new laws will end the MSP (minimum support price) and the knee-jerk system. And they rely on large corporate houses.

Explain that farmers have recently enacted three new agricultural laws – the Producers Trade and Trade (Promotion and Facilitation) Act, 2020, the Price Guarantee and Agricultural Services Act, and the 2020 Farmers (Empowerment and Protection) Agreement and the Essential Commodities (Amendment) Act.
