Amazon is bad news for Prime users. The OTT platform has stopped its cheap plan. This scheme costs Rs 129 per month. Not only that, but in addition to the Rs 129 plan, the company has also decided to discontinue the Amazon Prime Trail Pack. In fact, the reason behind this is the new policy of the Reserve Bank of India.
What is the RBI’s guidelines?
In fact, the new RBI rule relates to users who use auto debit payments. In the RBI’s new guidelines, banks and financial institutions have been asked to implement additional component inspection to process recurring online transactions. The deadline for implementing this new order is set to be September 30.

If you understand in easy language, the bank cannot accept any new request for automatic payment for your credit or debit card. This means users who take a plan or trial pack of Rs 129, which will be automatically renewed after one month. But due to the new RBI rules, the new user pack does not update itself.

Now the Rs 329 plan is cheaper
Amazon has eliminated Amazon Prime’s monthly plan by updating its support page. Free trials have also been suspended since April 27. Currently, if users want to get a Prime membership, they have three or a year membership options. The 3 month prime video plan costs Rs 329 and the annual plan is Rs 999.
