Bigg Boss 14: Colors Apologises After Jaan Kumar Sanu’s Remark on Marathi Language Spark Outrage

In the latest installment of Bigg Boss 14John Kumar Sanu, son of popular playback singer Kumar Sanu, has made a statement about the Marathi language. The unpleasant statement did not sit well with the people of the country’s Marathi-speaking belt and caused online outrage. Now, the general entertainment channel Colors, which airs the reality show, has apologized for the issue. In Bigg Boss 11, Hina Khan has come under fire for criticizing the South Indian film industry and how she works with actresses. “We apologize for the criticism of Marathi language in the Bigg Boss episode, which aired on Tuesday, October 27,” the channel said in its statement. We had no intention of hurting the feelings of the people of Maharashtra. “Let us hope that the dispute is settled now. In the episode, Friends of Once again, John Kumar Sanu and Nikki Tamboli are having a rough day. Nikki starts talking in Marathi with fellow contestant Rahul’s doctor. So, John, who does not understand Marathi, asks her to speak in Hindi if she is brave. “Marathi may mat bat just samne, chidh hoti hai muje,”He tells her. Nikki assures him that they are not talking about him.

Of note, John may be simply saying that Nikki is annoying when she speaks in Marathi so it doesn’t make sense. His words should not be a statement about language.
