Prior to Boseman’s untimely passing, the sequel was scheduled to be released on May 6, 2022, but delayed to July 8, 2022. According to The Hollywood Reporter, filming is set to begin in the next section of Atlanta. July 2021 for six months. It was reported before the release date was delayed, so it’s not clear whether it is still the case. In addition to Black Panther 2, there are currently four Marvel films to be released in 2022 with Black Panther 2 in Multiverse of Madness (March 25), Thor: Love and Thunder (May 6) and Captain Marvel 2 (November 11).
