Disclosed: Khalistan Liberation Front conspiracy to murder Hindu leader, NIA files charge sheet against three people

The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has filed a chargesheet against three people in the 2017 murder of Hindu leader Amit Sharma in Ludhiana. In its charge sheet, the NIA described the act as a terrorist act. The conspiracy to kill it was carried out by the Khalistan Liberation Front (KLF), the NIA said.

The NIA has named arms suppliers Ashish Kumar, Javed and Arshad Ali in the case. The accused are also from Meerut, Uttar Pradesh. According to the chargesheet filed by the NIA, in January 2017, two unknown motorcycle riders killed Shri Sharma, the president of Hindu Takht. The conspiracy to murder was sparked by a terrorist organization called KLF.

According to the NIA, eight consecutive people were killed in Punjab between 2016 and 2017. Their aim was to spread fear and promote communal hysteria. An investigation into the case was submitted to the NIA. Also, the case has been shifted to a Delhi court for allegedly involving terrorist activity.

The NIA filed a detailed chargesheet in Patiala House court on Wednesday. However, the court accepted the charge sheet. The realization of this charge sheet will be taken at a later date. The NIA had earlier filed chargesheets against 15 people in the same case in 2018. The three accused had supplied arms for terrorist-organized killings in Punjab, the NIA said.
