Doctors were informed about the work of the green fungus, there are spores in the air, known – symptoms and prevention

Many cases of fungal infections have been reported in patients recovering from corona. After the black, white and yellow fungus, a case of green fungus has been reported in a patient who has now recovered from Kovid in Madhya Pradesh. According to reports, this is the first case in the country. A 34-year-old patient from Indore was sent to Mumbai’s Hinduja Hospital by air ambulance on Tuesday after recovering from corona.

The test was conducted on suspicion of black fungus

Dr. Ravi Dosi, head of the Department of Chest Diseases of the Aurobindo Medical Sciences Institute, told PTI that the patient was tested on suspicion of black fungus or mucormycosis. But he has been infected with green fungus (aspergillosis) in his sinuses, lungs and blood. The patient was cured but then he started bleeding from the nose and high fever. He was too weak to lose weight.

Research on infection is needed

Dr. Dosi said more research is needed to determine whether green fungal infections are different from other patients in people recovering from corona. AIMS director Randeep Gularia said that fungal infections in patients should not be classified on the basis of their color, but for the medical name of the disease.

What causes green fungus

Aspergillosis is an infection caused by Aspergillus fungus. It is found everywhere inside and outside the home. The infection is caused by breathing in an environment where these nuclei are present. Most of us breathe in such an environment and we do not have this infection. However, those with immunosuppression or those with lung disease are at increased risk for infection.

The disease does not spread from one person to another

According to the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), Aspergillus can cause allergic reactions, lung infections and infections in other parts of the body. However, it is not contagious and does not spread from person to person.

What are the symptoms of green fungus

According to the CDC, different types of aspergillosis have different symptoms. Common symptoms include asthma, shortness of breath, cough and fever, headache, runny nose, sinusitis, nasal congestion or runny nose, bloody nose, weight loss, coughing, weakness and fatigue.

How to Protect

Doctors say that special attention should be paid to swachloe and oral hygiene to avoid fungal infections. Avoid going to places where dust, mud or water is stored. If you have to go to such places, then wear an N95 mask. Wash hands and face with soap and water, especially if exposed to dirt and dust.
