With two goals from Roberto Fermino, Liverpool boosted their hopes of a place in the Champions League by defeating Manchester United 4–2 in the English Premier League (EPL). Acting captain Bruno Fernandez led Manchester United in the 10th minute, while Diego Jota scored an equalizer in the 34th minute.
Fermino then scored a goal during the first half and then gave Liverpool a 3–1 lead in the second half. Manchester United’s Marcus Rashford scored the second goal in the 68th minute, while Mohamed Saleh scored Liverpool’s fourth goal in the 90th minute, which Manchester United secured their sixth defeat at home this season.

The win puts Liverpool 60 points away from 35 games and fourth-placed Chelsea. Chelsea have played one game more than that. Manchester United are second with 70 points in 36 games.
