229 kg of marijuana worth Rs 1.25 crore has been seized by the KGF police for illegally storing it in the newly built pits behind the house.
186 kg of marijuana worth Rs. 1 crore were seized in the first week of this month. “More marijuana is now seized in the pits,” Central Inspector General (Inspector General) Seemant Kumar Singh said.
The marijuana was found while conducting a search operation at Krishnagiri Lane, which is under the jurisdiction of Marikuppam police station. Joseph and Raja were arrested in this connection.
Seemant Kumar Singh has given a commendable letter to Inspectors Surya Prakash and Venkataramanappa. Meanwhile, policemen Venkataramanappa, Mahendra, Chetan and Ramesh have been rewarded with cash.
