Tata Motors will launch its new Tigor EV electric sedan tomorrow, August 18th in the domestic market. The new model is expected to get a better range, offering a range of more than 250 km at full charge.
The new Tigor EV is built on the brand’s Ziptron EV powertrain technology. A few days ago, the company released a teaser video in which an electric car was seen with a cover (cover). Tata Tigor changed the name of the EV to its commercial version, the Express-T. So far, Tata Tigor Electric is using a 72V power 3-phase motor that produces 40hp of power and 105Nm of torque. It has a 21.5 kW battery which gives it a driving range of up to 213 km if charged at one time. The performance level is very high if the new Tigor EV uses the same 127hp motor as the Nexon EV and, therefore, it may attract more buyers.
To recall, Tata Motors introduced the Tigor Electric sedan a few years ago for government officials and fleet operators, however, it will be available to other customers in 2019. Due to limited scope and general performance, some buy compact electric sedans. But the company believes the new Tigor Electric with Ziptron technology will address people’s concerns. The new model is said to offer a range of up to 250 km on a single charge.
