Half-centuries for Hafeez and Babur Assam; Pakistan big score

Pakistan score big in second T20 match against England. Pakistan scored 195 runs for the loss of 4 wickets in the allotted 20 overs. Captain Babur Assam and veteran Mohammad Hafeez scored half-centuries to give Pakistan the lead.

Pakistan openers Babur Assam and Fakhar Zaman got off to a good start as they lost the toss and opted to bat. The same was more dangerous. Saman added 72 runs for the first wicket with Assam. Adil Rashid, who struck out Saman for 36 off 22 balls, gave England their first breakthrough. Saman was caught by Tom Banton. Assam and Hafeez added 40 runs for the second wicket. Assam, meanwhile, completed their half-century off 38 balls. Adil Rashid then bowled out Assam for 56 off 44 balls. Assam returned after handing over to Billings.

Shoaib Malik and Mohammad Hafeez added 50 runs for the third wicket. Malik contributed only 14 runs in total. Hafeez hit 26 off 26 balls to reach his half-century. Meanwhile, Hafeez had completed 2000 runs in T20I. Malik, who scored 14 off 11 balls, was bowled by Chris Jordan for the third wicket.

Hafeez added 32 runs for the fourth wicket with Iftikhar Ahmad (8) in the last over. Hafeez, who hit 69 off 36 balls, including five fours and four sixes, was caught by Morgan off Tom Curran.
