‘Honest Thief’ continues to top US box office amid pandemic

Amidst the coronavirus epidemic, action-drama film ‘Honest Thief’ tops the domestic box office.
Variety reports that Liam Neeson’s thriller has been repeated over 2,502 locations, earning 4 2.4 million, and Disney’s horror-thriller ‘The Empty Man’ has begun softly with 3 1.3 million in 2,027 domestic locations.
The release of Open Road films has fallen 44 percent from its opening frame and has gained .5 7.5 million in its first 10 days in North America. Variety reports that dealers have added curtains in New York State after New York Governor Andrew Cuomo made a decision to open theaters outside New York City on October 23 to reopen in less capacity.
Tom Ortenberg, CEO of Open Road, said: “We believe that releasing the film’s crowds, such as ‘honest thief’ at this time, will produce the positive words needed to make the film a success. For several weeks. Weeks back at number 1, that belief is reinforced. ”
