Who can make a ration card
It is compulsory for a person to be a citizen of India to obtain a ration card.
No person shall have a ration card from any other state.
In whose name the ration card is being made, he must be over 18 years of age.
The names of children under 18 are included in the parent’s ration card.
A family has a ration card in the name of the head of the family.
Members joining the ration card should have a close relationship with the head of the family.

There are 3 types of ration cards
BPL Card: Citizens below the poverty line are issued a BPL or card below the poverty line and their annual income is less than ₹ 10,000.

AAY Card: AAY or Antyodaya Anna Plan Card is issued to citizens who have no fixed income source.

How to download ration card at home
Here we tell you how people living in Delhi can download your e-ration card at home:

Step 1: You must first go to the official website of the Department of Food, Supplies and Consumer Affairs, Government of Delhi. You can access the site directly by clicking this link https://nfs.delhi.gov.in/.

Step 2: On the home page, you will find the ‘Citizen Corner’ section where you will see the option of “Get an E-Ration Card”, click on it

Step 3: After this you will open a page where you will be asked for details such as ration card number, name of family head, Aadhaar card number of family heads, date of birth and registered mobile number. After filling it, you should click Continue.

Step 4: After this the user will receive the OTP in the registered mobile number. Enter the OTP and Aadhaar number.

Step 5: Once the process is complete, you will see an e-ration card on your screen. You can download the Ration Card in PDF format by clicking on the Download option.
