This feature works like this
You can send disappearing messages by turning on ‘disappearing messages’ mode on WhatsApp. After this mode is turned on, the messages sent in the chat will disappear after 7 days. Media files, audio files, and other content in the chat disappear automatically. This new feature is available for both individual chat and group chat. The choice you make will affect all messages in the chat. Please note that messages sent or received will not disappear before turning on this feature.

Turn on the disappearing messages feature on your phone like this
Step 1: First open WhatsApp.

Step 2: After this, select and open the connection you want to turn on the disappearing message feature.

Step 3: Click on the contact name that appears at the top.

Step 4: When the name is clicked, the contact information opens. You see the disappearing messages feature, which is on top of cryptocurrency. Turn it on.

Step 5: After the option is turned on, the disappearing message feature is activated. After 7 days of sending the message-media files, it will be automatically deleted from the chat. To disable it, follow the same procedure and click Off.

Anyone with two chat users can turn this mode off at any time. Messages sent in a chat will not disappear after this mode is turned off. Turn this feature off:
>> Open WhatsApp Chat.
Tap the contact name.
Tap the message that is disappearing.
If prompted, tap Continue.
>> Select Off.
