IND vs. ENG: Virat Kohli admits guilt after huge T20 series win

India have been fined 40 per cent of the match fee for slow running in the fifth T20 International against England. International Cricket Council (ICC) Elite Panel match referee Javagal Srinath has been awarded a penalty for throwing the Virat Kohli-led Indian team two overs slower than the target.

The ICC said in a statement that players and support staff were involved in a minimum speeding violation of Article 2.22 of the ICC Code of Conduct, in which players were fined 20 percent of the match fee for each slow over throw.

Kohli accepted the proposed penalty and therefore did not need an official hearing. On-field umpires Anil Chaudhary and Nitin Menon and third umpire K.N. Anantapadmanabhan has framed these allegations. India defeated England by 36 runs on Saturday and won the five-match T20 series 3–2.
