IND vs. SL 2nd ODI: Learn what Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma have to say about Team India’s victory in Sri Lanka

India took a 2-0 lead in the three-match ODI series against Sri Lanka. India won by three wickets in a match played at Colombo’s R Premadasa Stadium. Deepak Chahar played 69 not out innings and won the Sri Lankan jaws. Team India in England also enjoyed this victory. Young skipper Virat Kohli is very happy to be playing for Young Team India who has toured Sri Lanka under the leadership of Shikhar Dhawan. Following this victory, Virat congratulated Shikhar Dhawan and Co. on Twitter via Twitter. Virat especially credited the two players for the win. In their tweet, Deepak Chahar and Suryakumar Yadav have been described as the heroes of the victory. India could only win the match on the basis of two fifties.

Virat wrote on Twitter, ‘The boys have registered a big win. It was an amazing effort to get the match out of this kind of tough situation. It was great to see this match. Both DC (Deepak Chahar) and Surya (Suryakumar Yadav) were under pressure, they both played good innings. Suryakumar Yadav scored 53 off 44 balls and never let the required run-rate pressure increase over India. India lost seven wickets for 193 runs at one stage and Sri Lanka seemed to be winning the match, but then Deepak took a historic win with Bhuvneshwar Kumar. Bhuvneshwar Kumar scored 19 not out off 28 balls while Chahar faced 82 balls and hit seven fours and a six.

Virat is currently in England and will play a five-match Test series against Team India England starting August 4. Team India is currently playing a three-day warm-up match in England. Virat is not playing in this practice match because he has some stiffness on his back. Team India is playing under Rohit Sharma in a practice match. Team India have sent a second-rate squad on their tour of Sri Lanka, but the young cricketers have been quite impressed with their game so far. Rohit Sharma also praised Team India.
