The Delhi Capitals have left for the UAE on Saturday to take part in the second leg of the Indian Premier League (IPL 2021). Delhi Capital has provided this information from their Instagram account. Only a few domestic cricketers and support staff have moved to the UAE with the Delhi Capitals. The rest of the teams will join after completing their international tours. Rishabh Pant, who leads the team in the first leg of the IPL 2021, is currently in England. The five-Test series between Team India and England is being played here. However, Delhi Capitals star batsman Shreyas Iyer is already in the UAE. He is practicing in Dubai. Due to injury, he was unable to play in the first half of IPL 14.

After Iyer’s departure from the opening half of the IPL 2021, Delhi Capital’s Rishabh Pant has taken the lead. The Pant-led team performed superbly and topped the IPL before the IPL was postponed. Since Iyer’s return, the Delhi administration has made no decision on the leadership of the team. He lost to Mumbai Indians in the final of IPL 2020 and reached the final of DC under Iyer’s leadership.
