New Zealand all-rounder Kyle Jamison has said that the captaincy of his team’s Royal Challengers Bangalore captain Virat Kohli in the Indian Premier League (IPL) will support his thinking on the game. Jamieson acknowledged that bowling on slow pitches in India requires different skills. The six-foot-eight-inch player, who has kept pace with the pitches at Chennai’s Chepauk Stadium, has performed well in the IPL’s two matches, scoring 30 runs for one wicket and two for 27.
Jamison said, “Kohli is a very experienced captain. He is a skilled captain and the way he progresses in the game definitely supports my thinking. According to Jamieson, bowling pitches require different skills on Indians.
PL 2021: Daniel Symes, affiliated with Royal Challengers Bangalore, leaves Corona positive before tournament start
The player, who has played eight T20s, five ODIs and six Tests for New Zealand, said, “Obviously, pitches here are different from New Zealand.” There is little grass in New Zealand’s pitches, but the pitches of the first two games were a bit slow here. It’s a good challenge and I’m enjoying it. Difficult (bio-bubble) but I enjoy the experience.
