IPL 2021: RCB head coach Simon Katich claims Glenn Maxwell

RCB head coach Simon Katich believes that Glenn Maxwell will prove to be a multi-player for Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB), who have been showing great form with the bat since the start of the Indian Premier League. RCB bought the 32-year-old Australia for Rs 14.25 crore after competing with a bid for Chennai Super Kings (CSK) at the auction of players, and played two innings of winning two matches for himself in the team’s two consecutive victories this season. Faith proved to be true.

“He has shown a lot of maturity, especially today (against Sunrisers Hyderabad) on the other end, when the wicket is falling,” Katich said. He understood the situation and played a good innings and when we had to get some quick runs in the end, he did so, thanks to his experience. In the 2020 IPL played in the United Arab Emirates, Maxwell was with Kings XI Punjab but his performance was so poor that he scored 108 in 13 matches. Katich has said that he will be playing several roles with the RCB franchise this season.

In a video posted on the franchise website, he said he was amazing. He has played a big role for us, helping the first Virat (Kohli) decorate the ground so that the right players stand in the right place at the right time. “He’s done a lot of fielding practice with a lot of young players because in this department we have to be good and take advantage of run and catch opportunities,” Katich said.
