IPL 2021: Was Hasunga included in the RCB squad because of his strong performance against India?

Royal Challengers Bangalore squad for Sri Lanka’s all-rounder Vasindu Hassaranga to join the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021 squad Hasaranga has been signed by RCB to replace Adam Jampa. Fans are speculating on the reason behind Hasaranga’s entry in IPL 2021, his spectacular performance in the T20 series against India. However, Bangalore’s new head coach Mike Hesson has denied this. He said the team’s eyes were on him for a long time and it was only last year that he was tried to replace him.

Imad Wasim told Pakistan’s favorite team to win the T20 World Cup, UAE as our second home

Mike Hesson said, ‘We’ve been running a scouting program for the past two years, where we get to know every single player who’s doing the best in cricket in the world. We’ve been on our radar for quite some time. Last year we needed a replacement and he was the guy we called. We were not surprised by his success in the past, but he has been doing so for some time now. We love their skills and they love being multi-skilled cricketers. If we want to play overseas spinner with Chahal, he can bat down the order and usefully bat. Because of this, we get a lot of exciting options, so a good performance against India is good, but it is not surprising to us.

Hasaranga can play an important role for the RCB in the UAE with the strength of his spin bowling. He is also diligent in batting. Hasan’s performance in the ODI and T20 series against India was very good. Hasaranga took 3 wickets in ODIs and 7 wickets in three T20s. At the same time, Singapore’s batsman Tim David has been replaced by Finn Allen in the RCB squad. Allen has been selected in the New Zealand squad for the series against Bangladesh, which is why he is not available for the IPL. Fast bowlers Ken Richardson and Daniel Sams have also decided to stay away from the tourney. Sri Lankan fast bowler Dushmant Chamira has been appointed to replace Daniel Sams.
