On Monday, the High Court sought a response from the Union Ministry of Education on the demand for JEE (Advanced) 2020 to be repeated. The High Court has given this order on the plea of one person. In the petition, he also demanded a stay on the declaration of results of JEE Advanced. Justice Jayant Nath has issued a notice to the chairman of the agency conducting the JEE Advance 2020, besides the ministry, to reply by October 7. The case will be heard on the same day. However, the High Court currently refused to stay the declaration of JEE Advanced results.

Petitioner Pawan Kumar Singh said in the petition that his son was harassed for 45 minutes for not bringing photographs and reflective pens to the examination center. After this, he was allowed to appear in the examination. It is also said that no such guidelines were issued in advance. The petition said that instead of bringing the pen, the examination center had to provide the pen.

The High Court, in an order passed on October 1, said that it is not possible to ban the declaration of results of the examination. The result of JEE Advanced was released on Monday. Advocate MM Goyal told the court that his client’s son is a very talented student and has attained 30th rank at the all-India level in JEE Main 2020.
