Kejriwal government announces – Delhi has its own board of education, 20 to 25 schools to open this year

Delhi will have its own Board of Education. The Kejriwal government on Saturday approved the creation of the ‘Delhi School Board’. Announcing this, Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal said that 20 to 25 government schools will be added to the board this year. With this board, their association will be removed from the CBSE schools. Of course not all schools are included on this board. After consultation with teachers, principals and parents, the decision on which school to include on this board will be made.

Kejriwal said, ‘We have improved government schools in the last 6 years. Now we are going to take the next step with the board structure. The establishment of the Delhi School Education Board takes revolutionary changes in the education system of Delhi to new heights. The Board has a governing body which is chaired by the Minister of Education. It also includes many experts and civilian officials.

The Delhi Board of Education has three objectives

The Chief Minister said, ‘The time has come to decide what is being taught in Delhi and how. The board has three main objectives. The first objective is that every child should be a patriot. We must prepare children who will be able to handle the responsibility of the country in every sphere. The second goal is for our children to be good human beings. Be a better person than religion and caste. The third purpose is that the board will create such an education system that the child can find employment after studying. To get a job. Today’s education system demands rote learning. But the Delhi Education Board does not insist on a barrage. The child assessment will last a full year. It will be an international level board. Emphasis will also be placed on student personality development.

She said the board shows a way to shape a career in each child by removing the qualities within it. There are about one thousand government and 1700 private schools in Delhi. Most of them are CBSE schools. 20 to 25 government schools will be opened this year. Then other schools will also join.
