Latest ICC Test Rankings: R Ashwin jumps all-rounder rankings after Chennai Test

Team India’s star cricketer Ravichandran Ashwin has made an impressive contribution to the rankings of the newly released International Cricket Council (ICC) Test all-rounders. In the second Test of the four-Test series against England, Ashwin took a total of eight wickets and scored a century in the second innings. Ashwin is included in the list of top-5 Test all-rounders, while skipper Virat Kohli is fifth in the batsmen.

India won the second Test at Chennai by 317 runs and R Ashwin was named Man of the Match. He has 336 rating points on the all-rounders list. West Indies’ Jason Holder (407) tops the list. Ashwin’s spin partner Ravindra Jadeja (403 points), England’s Ben Stokes (397) and Bangladesh’s Shakib Al Hasan (352) are in the top spot. In the bowlers list, 34-year-old Ashwin is seventh with 804 rating points while Jaspreet Bumra is eighth with 761 rating points. Bumrah was rested for the Chennai Test.

Australia’s Pat Cummins (908 Rating Points) tops the list. Kohli, who has played zero and 62 in Chennai, is fifth on the list of batsmen with 838 rating points. New Zealand’s Kane Williamson (919 rating points) tops the list, followed by Australia’s Steve Smith (891). Australia’s Marnus Labuschen (878) rose to third while England captain Joe Root (869) fell to fourth. He has scored six and 33 runs in the Chennai Test. Cheteshwar Pujara of India was able to score 21 and seven in Chennai and fell to eighth place with 727 rating points.
