Maharashtra: More than 8,000 new cases and 51 patients have died on the fourth day

Maharashtra has received more than 8,000 cases of Kovid-19 new for the fourth consecutive day, raising the total number of cases to 2146777. The information was provided by an official from the Health Department. There were 8623 new infections and 51 deaths in the state. The death toll in the state has reached 52092 due to the epidemic, the official said.

The lockdown was extended for a week in the city of Amravati in eastern Maharashtra. Weekend lockdowns have been imposed in Nagpur, Bulkhana and Yavatmal. The virus has now spread to most cities and districts, the official said. For example, there are 1364 cases of acute coronavirus infection in the Akola district, three cases in all regions including Akola District, Akola Nagar, Amaravati District and Urban, Yavatmal, Bulkhana and Vashim.

With 987 new cases and four new deaths in Mumbai, the total number of infections in the city rose to 324866 with these new cases and the death toll rising to 11470. On Saturday, 3648 coronavirus patients were discharged from hospitals, increasing the number of cured people in the state to 2020951. There are now 72,530 under-treated patients in the state. 16199818 samples have been tested so far for coronavirus infection across the state.
