In the process, the country’s largest car maker Maruti Suzuki is also preparing to launch another new model in the segment.
While Maruti Suzuki’s Vitara Brezza is already in the entry-level SUV segment, the company’s current model S-Cross has nothing special to do with the mid-size segment. Preparations are now underway to introduce a new model in this segment, which will compete mainly with models such as the Hyundai Creta and Kia Cellos.

This was clearly indicated in a statement by Shashank Srivastava, Executive Director of Marketing and Sales at Maruti Suzuki India. Shashank said, “We have a low market share in the mid-SUV segment. We also have the S-Cross SUV in this segment, which was introduced in August last year with a new engine.
“We have some product plans in this category, but we can’t say anything about it right now. But yeah, we’re focused on this and definitely taking some steps in this segment. We’ll see you,” he said. Currently, there is no other information about this upcoming SUV of Maruti Suzuki.
