Of the total sales of the company, 1,49,518 units were sold in the domestic market, while the company supplied 5,899 units of Vitara Breza and Baleno to Toyota so they could be used for recycled Urban Cruiser and Glanza. At the same time, the company exported a total of 11,597 units during the month, up from March last year. In March last year, the company exported 2,104 units.
However, in the financial year 2020-21, the company sold a total of 1,457,861 units, approximately 6.7% lower than the previous fiscal year 2019-20. One of the biggest reasons for the decline in sales this financial year is the current corona epidemic. Last year, production and sales of vehicles were shut down for several months, which has had a direct impact on the business.

Maruti Suzuki’s affordable and budget cars are famous all over the country and are in high demand for the company’s entry-level segment. The company had sold 24,653 units in March last year, compared to 15,988 units in the same month last year. At the same time, Wagon R, Swift, Celerio, Ignis, Baleno, Dzire sold 82,201 units, up from 40,519 units in March last year. However, the sales of the mid-sized sedan Siaz and 1,863 units in March last year were just 1,628 units.
Utility Division Demand:
Demand for the utility segment is rising in the country and Maruti Suzuki has also benefited from it. Last March, the company sold a total of 26,174 units of its Vitara Breza, Ertiga, S-Cross and XL-6 models, compared to 11,904 units in March. The company’s well-known Van Echo has recorded impressive growth, with the company selling 11,547 units in March, compared to 5,966 units in March last year.
