MG’s new SUV Aster has raised the screen with artificial intelligence and advanced features

MG Motor India is in the process of renewing its vehicle portfolio in the Indian market. Today the company has launched its new SUV MG Astor in the Indian market. This SUV with Artificial Intelligence and Autonomous Level 2 Driver Assistance System will be launched for sale in September.

When the car will be launched for sale, the company claims it is the cheapest car in the country, given the Artificial Intelligence (AI) system. One of the specialties of this new SUV is that it has signed an agreement with the country’s leading telecom company Geo. That is, Reliance Jio provides an IT system for artificial intelligence.

Reliance Jio provides e-SIM and enough technology for real-time infotainment and telematics. The company claims that the new SUV is based on CAAP (car concept as a platform). The company’s current electric SUV model is the petrol internal combustion engine (ICE) version of the ZS EV. In it, the company uses a 1.5-liter capacity 4-cylinder petrol engine with a mild hybrid technology that produces 141bhp of power and 240Nm of torque.

Artificial Intelligence Assistance and Aster, the first autonomous Level 2 car in the segment, MG Motor India President and MD Rajeev Chabha, said, “This SUV is better than most other models in this segment. And offers a safer driving experience. ”

What is special about Autonomous Level 2 technology:

In this special technology used on the MG Aster, a multi-purpose camera is used, which provides different features while driving. These include adaptive cruise control, lane keeping assist, forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane departure warning, rear drive assist (RDA), lane departure prevention, Intelligent Headlamp Control (IHC) and speed assist system. The company says these functions provide safe and comfortable driving.

Apart from Smart Drive AI technology, the SUV features LED Lamps (front and rear) and daytime running lights (DRL), Roof-mounted spoiler, Dual-tone alloy wheels, Digital console with i-Smart Connect, 8-inch touchscreen. Infotainment System, Sun Roof and More. Once on the market, this SUV competes mainly with models such as the Hyundai Creta and the Kia Cellos.
