PK Feroz Kozhikode said that no investigation has been conducted against Bineesh Kodiyeri as the party has provided protection. Meanwhile, an enforcement probe has been launched into the assets of Bineesh Kodiyeri under the Anti-Money Laundering Act. An enforcement notice was issued to the Registration IG asking him to freeze the transfer of all of Bineesh’s properties. The ED’s move is to question Bineesh again after examining the property details.
Bineesh Kodiyeri was questioned by the Enforcement Directorate for 12 hours on the 9th of this month in a gold smuggling case. Even after the marathon interrogation, the probe team did not give a clean chit to Bineesh Kodiyeri. When asked about the companies and financial transactions owned by Bineesh, Bineesh could not give a clear answer. It is in this context that the Enforcement has started an investigation into the assets of Bineesh Kodiyeri under the Anti-Money Laundering Act. Bineesh Kodiyeri was issued an enforcement notice seeking details of the property.
