Former India captain Mohammed Azharuddin recalls the early days of his career. Azharuddin shared a photo of himself with a special scooter on Twitter and described it as very special. Azharuddin said the scooter was acquired by a former India captain after his talent was recognized early in his career. Mohammed Azharuddin is counted among India’s best leaders and under his leadership Team India has played three World Cups.

Azharuddin shared a photo of him with his scooter on Twitter and said, ‘Great memories of the early days of my career, when I got this scooter when I spotted my talent. It is a wonderful luxury compared to the lucky days of reaching the stadium early in the morning for cycling and practice miles away. A few days ago, Azharuddin even shared a picture with his old bat, saying, “I set a world record with this bat in 1984-85, scoring three consecutive centuries against England in the first three Tests. I have scored over 800 runs with this bat in a season. My grandfather liked this bat.

Former captain Mohammad Azharuddin is currently the president of the Hyderabad Cricket Association (HCA). Azhar has played 99 Tests and 334 ODIs for India. In Test matches he has scored 6215 runs at 45.03 and in ODIs he has scored 9378 runs at 36.92. Azharuddin has captained India in three World Cups. Under his captaincy, India have won 14 Tests and 90 ODIs.
