Today is the birthday of Vinayaka Chaturthi, the fiery Mahaganapati. Vighneshwar is the spirit god of four hundred and thirty two gods .He is the lord of knowledge and science.

Vinayaka Chaturthi, the birthday of Lord Ganesha, is the white wing Chaturthi in the month of Chinga. This day is also known as Ganesha Chaturthi and Atham Chaturthi. It is said that if you see the moon this evening, you will hear an exception.

Because Chandran mocked Ganesha when he went with his beautiful wives Buddhi and Siddhi. Therefore, Ganesan cursed that those who perform moon sightings should be discredited. When Chandran apologized, he promised that the curse would be effective only on Vinayaka Chaturthi day.

The Vinayaka festival begins on Shukla Chaturthi and lasts for ten days. The festivities will end on Anantha Chaturdashi. Vinayaka Chaturthi is celebrated in different parts of the country with different types of ceremonies.

It is believed that getting the blessings of Ganesha before starting good deeds will help one to avoid obstacles.

Vinayaka Chaturthi is celebrated by painting a kolam with rice powder and decorating a newly purchased statue of Vinayaka.

Like all forms and deities in Hindu philosophy, the form of Ganesha has its own set of idols. Ganesha is considered to be the first sounding form of Pranavas.

It is believed that Pranava and then the glorious Skanda came into being through the confluence of Shiva Shakti.

Science says that the universe itself bows before the disruptive Lord.
