Amid corona damage, thugs have now made the Kovid vaccine a new weapon of deception. In Bhopal, a student was tried for fraud in the name of registration for a vaccine. The accused had asked for an OTP number, promising to terminate the vaccine if the student had not been pre-registered. However, he escaped being a victim of student intelligence. The cyber cell has complained about this.
The student, who lives in the city, received a call on Wednesday, ASP Rajat Saklecha said. The callers described themselves as an officer of the central government’s health department. He said- Registrations have begun to establish the corona vaccine in India. You are called to this.
Registration fee of Rs 500 should be filled. The remaining rupees are taken when the vaccine is applied. The OTP number comes in your mobile for registration. You have to share it. After this your registration will be done.
The student told the caller that the vaccine had not yet arrived, so how did the registration begin? He showed the meaning and disconnected the phone. The police have begun an investigation into the matter. However, the accused has not been identified.
Do not attend such phones
According to ASP Saklecha, do not attend phone calls for the corona vaccine. Your Aadhaar number will be asked in the registration name. Then you say that the OTP will come in your mobile, say, register and the vaccine will be available soon. Thug hacked the account as soon as the OTP said it.
This is how we fall into the trap
Cyber thugs want to get the OTP number anyway. For this, click on the link in the name of expiring the credit card from the ATM card, closing the account, closing the online payment app and transferring the funds to the account. So no one should share the ATM number, account number, PIN (password) and OTP number.
