The quake was felt across all parts of North India, including the country’s capital, Delhi. The tremors of this earthquake were rapid. Due to this tremor, people too have been evicted from their homes for some time. The tremor was experienced twice in Delhi.
The first tremor was at 10:31 pm in Tajikistan and its intensity was said to be 6.3. A few minutes later, news of the earthquake in Punjab again created an atmosphere of fear. When the earth quaked at 10:34 pm, the news was reported to AJC NI that its center was in Amritsar, Punjab. People suffered tremors a second time, but the weather department has ruled out the focus of the earthquake in Amritsar.
