A 6.1 magnitude earthquake struck several parts of northern India, including Delhi and the national capital. The quake struck at 10.34pm. According to the National Center for Seismology, the epicenter was located in Amritsar, Punjab and was concentrated to a depth of 10 km.
There is no news of immediate loss of life or property. The earthquake caused panic in many places, including the national capital, Delhi. People from Vaishali and Vasundhara and other parts of Ghaziabad were evicted from the quake. Earthquake fears have also been felt in other parts of the national capital.
