Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the rally on Thursday in Tamil Nadu, targeting Congress and DMK. He called meetings between the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) and the Congress party a ‘corruption hackathon’ and said his leaders would sit down and brainstorm how to rob Akhir.
At a rally in Coimbatore, PM Modi said, “Today the country is looking at two different styles of politics, on the one hand, corruption and opposition with the NDA regime.
Earlier, PM Modi inaugurated major infrastructure projects including the Bhawani Sagar Dam. Meanwhile, the PM said the project would benefit our farmers a lot.
He said the foundation for the modernization of the Bhawani Sagar Dam is being laid. This will irrigate 2 lakh acres of land. Erode and Karuru in Tiruppur district would benefit the most.
He said India’s commitment to port-led development can be seen through the Sagarmala project. Speaking about the future projects, PM Modi said, “A total of 575 projects worth Rs 57 6 lakh crore have been identified for implementation during 2015-2035”.
